Vehicle Break Ins

Community Safety Message 

Greater Manchester Police is reminding residents to take simple steps to reduce the risk of vehicle break ins.

Please ensure your vehicle is locked and secure whenever it is left unattended. Avoid leaving valuables, bags, mobile phones, wallets, tools, or other items on display, as these can attract opportunistic thieves. If valuables must be left in a vehicle, store them out of sight before reaching your destination.

Where possible, park in well-lit, busy areas and consider using secure car parks. Double-check that windows, sunroofs and doors are fully closed and locked.

By taking a few simple precautions, we can all help reduce vehicle crime and keep our communities safer.
